Job summary

Reasors Food Stores in Michigan is seeking a part-time team member to deliver exceptional customer service and support deli operations. You will engage with customers, handle transactions, and participate in promotions while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include food preparation, following Serve-Safe guidelines, and managing inventory and waste. This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in coolers when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant retail experience considered for non-degree candidates.
• Good interpersonal skills to connect with customers and provide information courteously.
• Basic math skills to handle cash, calculate change, and balance cash registers.
• Ability to read and apply company procedure documents.

Responsibilities

• Displaying a customer comes first attitude with immediate attention.
• Participate in Company sales promotions and programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training within specified periods.
• Complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions weekly/monthly and suggest items to increase sales.
• Receive financial payments and give change.
• Operate cash register, credit card scanners, and lottery machines to complete sales.
• Monitor activity at gas pumps and ensure safe fueling and accurate transactions.
• Prepare deli orders and ensure proper portioning and logs.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards and recipes.
• Control deli waste and inventory out dates.
• Read alpha/numeric data on registers and documents.
• Ensure temperature logs are completed timely and accurately.
• Physical: lift up to 50 pounds, move/store merchandise, and work in coolers.
