• Good interpersonal skills are necessary to connect with customers and provide information accurately and politely.
• Basic math skills are necessary to handle cash transactions, calculate changes, sums, and tax.
• Must be able to read and apply company procedure documents.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and follow directions from management.
• Ability to multitask and monitor activity in store and at gas pumps.
• Must be able to operate microwaves, small ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Ability to perform responsibilities under stress during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and undivided attention to customers.
• Participate in promotions and company programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training within specified periods.
• Prepare deli foods per standards and handle storage.
• Receive payments and give change.
• Operate the cash register and related payment tools.
• Monitor gas pumps and ensure safe and correct transactions.
• Ensure accurate order preparation for deli items and maintain logs and records.
• Follow Serve-Safe guidelines and maintain temperature logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area.
