Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a part-time Deli Associate to help prepare, wrap, label, and merchandise deli products while ensuring guest experience and food safety standards. You will stock backroom items, coordinate with other departments, and follow company guidelines for safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), 1 year of retail experience, and basic math with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
