Job summary

Reasors Food Stores in Michigan is seeking a Regular Part Time team member to assist customers, operate the cash register, and support deli operations.

You will follow safety procedures, handle food preparation, monitor gas pumps, and work cooperatively with the store team to meet promotional goals while maintaining a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and work in coolers as needed; ability to stand long hours during peak times is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience considered.
• Good interpersonal skills to connect with customers and provide information accurately.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, change, tax calculations.
• Must read and apply company procedure documents.
• Team player who follows directions from supervisors.
• Ability to monitor activity at gas pumps and inside store.
• Operate microwaves, small ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Remain calm under stress during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer comes first attitude with immediate, undivided attention.
• Participate in Company sales promotions and programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training within set periods.
• Complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions and suggest items to customers to increase sales.
• Receive payments and give back change as needed.
• Operate cash register, credit card scanners and lottery machines.
• Monitor activity at gas pumps to ensure safe and accurate transactions.
• Accurately receive and prepare deli orders.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards and recipes.
• Control deli waste, food spoilage, and inventory out dates.
• Read alpha and numeric data on cash registers and documents.
• Ensure temperature logs are completed timely.
• Physical: lift up to 50 pounds, work in coolers, climb ladders.
