Job summary

Ruby Tuesday – Roanoke Rapids location is hiring a Server Assistant to warmly welcome guests and support the service team. You will seat guests using the Table Management System (TMS), assist with taking and delivering orders, and keep the lobby and server station clean.

This is a friendly, fast-paced role requiring a smile and reliable teamwork. You will handle basic cash/credit transactions and help with takeout orders, while following food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• No prior work experience required.
• Provide friendly guest service.
• Understand and comply with proper food handling regulations.
• Process cash handling, credit card and room charge transactions.
• Operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Use the TMS to seat guests and manage wait/reservation lists.
• Greet guests, inform about features and promotions, and answer questions.
• Deliver food and beverages, pre-buss, and provide refills when possible.
• Answer phone and assist guests with questions in a friendly manner.
• Maintain server assistant stand and front lobby area; keep area clean.
• Takeout orders: bag, check for accuracy, and manage takeout flow.
• Observe tables, manage clean/dirty/occupied status, and reset as needed.
• Accommodate guests’ needs and requests (refills, silverware, etc.).
• Assist team members and support the service staff as needed.
