Job summary

StepStone Hospitality at Le Méridien Charlotte and Sheraton Charlotte Hotels is seeking a careful Housekeeping Coordinator to support the housekeeping team and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will manage phone messages, run room assignment reports, log guest and employee requests, handle lost and found, relay work orders to Engineering, coordinate with other departments, monitor deliveries and room replacements, and uphold key control and safety procedures across shifts.

Qualifications

• Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
• Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer Housekeeping phones and take messages in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Run reports for room assignments and updating as needed.
• Fulfill all guest and employee requests promptly.
• Keep guest request logs up to date to ensure efficient response time.
• Secure, log and mail all lost and found items expediently.
• Enter and communicate all work orders or requests to Engineering Department.
• Coordinate Housekeeping work with other departments.
• Track and monitor all deliveries and notify manager of their status.
• Track and monitor room replacement status.
• Maintain key control within the department.
• Report problems to the Supervisor or Manager promptly.
• Clean rooms as directed by management.
• Follow opening/closing procedures for the department.
