Job summary

Crossroads Christian Church in Gray, East Tennessee, is seeking a Connect Minister to help guests feel welcomed and take their next step toward involvement. You will lead First Impressions teams, oversee onboarding, and coordinate connections to ministry opportunities.

This role emphasizes pastoral care, volunteers development, and collaboration with staff on church-wide initiatives, with a focus on relational leadership and scriptural grounding.

Qualifications

• Spiritually mature with Scripture as final authority.
• Theologically grounded; BA in biblical or theological studies preferred.
• Aligned with Restoration Movement heritage and Crossroads values.
• Strong cultural fit with the church’s mission and community outreach.
• Biblically wise with clear teaching and sound judgment.
• Experience in ministry leadership is desirable.
• Relational leader who connects authentically with guests and members.

Responsibilities

• Developing and overseeing systems that help guests feel welcomed and take their next step toward involvement.
• Lead and equip First Impressions teams (greeters, ushers, welcome center volunteers, parking teams).
• Ensure timely follow-up with first-time guests.
• Teach and implement membership classes and onboarding processes.
• Facilitate connections to ministry opportunities, volunteer teams, and discipleship environments.
• Oversee and resource small groups and classes as directed by the Lead Minister.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
• Develop strategies for launching and multiplying groups and classes.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff on vision, church-wide events, and strategic ministry initiatives.
• Provide pastoral care and support to group leaders, volunteers, and members as needed.
• Other duties as required.
