Job summary

JustChurchJobs, Inc. seeks a Care & Connections Pastor to lead the Connections Ministry (Local & Global Outreach, hospitality, and care teams) at Crossroads Church.

You will oversee guest engagement, volunteer training, and partnerships while providing compassionate pastoral care and leadership to multiple ministries. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry and 5+ years of ministry experience, with a willingness to pursue ordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry or related field.
• 5+ years pastoral or ministry experience, including officiating funerals.
• Willingness to pursue ordination, if not already ordained.
• Relational leadership and shepherding gifts.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a warm, hospitable environment for Sunday services, events, and gatherings.
• Design and improve guest follow-up to provide clear next steps for engagement.
• Oversee guest-facing areas (Connections Table) to keep resources inviting and up to date.
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers across Connections Teams (Greeters, Ushers, Communion).
• Develop partnerships within ministry and coordinate with leaders for consistent hospitality coverage.
• Create and update the Connections Teams handbook and training materials.
• Serve as liaison for Global and Local partnerships (Glocal), including budgeting coordination and partner communication.
• Provide pastoral care through visitation and follow-up for those with medical needs; partner with Prayer Ministry.
• Lead the Age & Stage Groups and Care Groups by coaching and supporting leaders.
• Coordinate benevolence requests with leadership and offer pastoral guidance; officiate funerals when needed.
• Attend church-wide and ministry events; participate in weekly All-Team meetings.
• Champion Crossroads’ Care & Compassion vision and culture; model shepherding and prayer.
• Maintain regular contact with the Executive Team; encourage and disciple volunteers through weekly meetings.
