You will build and develop volunteer teams, recruit and train volunteers, and partner with Guest Experience leaders to ensure the area is staffed and prepared for weekly gatherings, Christmas, Easter, and special events.

The Guest Connection Associate helps create meaningful opportunities for people to feel seen, welcomed, and connected from the moment they arrive at Christ’s Church. This position provides leadership for the Connect Area and Connect Greeters, helping shape a strong first impression and assisting guests in understanding where they belong and how they can take their next step. The role builds and develops volunteer teams and helps establish a culture where serving is not simply about greeting people or providing information, but about intentionally noticing people, building relationships, and helping people move toward meaningful connection and Jesus.Be a Disciple Maker: Foster a disciple-making culture by personally modeling disciple-making values and behaviors and helping volunteers understand service as an opportunity to care for people and help them take their next step toward Jesus.Lead and Develop Connect Volunteers: Build relationships with Connect Area and Connect Greeter volunteers, recruiting, training, scheduling, encouraging, and developing team members who have a genuine heart for people and serving others.Partner Across Guest Experience: Work closely with the Guest Experience Associate Director and other Guest Experience leaders to create a seamless, welcoming experience and ensure the Connect Area is consistently staffed, prepared, and ready to serve.Communication and Connection: Engage guests with warmth and intentionality, helping them find community, understand opportunities for involvement, and connect with the life of the church.PRIORITIESBuild and Disciple Volunteer Teams: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead Connect Area and Connect Greeter volunteers, creating a healthy team culture centered on relationships, care, service, and spiritual growth.Create Meaningful Guest Connections: Ensure guests are intentionally noticed and welcomed and are given clear opportunities to build relationships, find community, and take appropriate next steps within Christ’s Church.Ensure Connect Area Readiness: Prepare the Connect Area and volunteer teams for weekly gatherings, ensuring appropriate coverage, clear communication, and consistent execution.Support Major Services and Events: Provide Guest Connection leadership and volunteer support for key church gatherings and special events, including Christmas, Easter, and the 4th of July Celebration.Proactively engage in All-Staff activities: Participate in required staff gatherings, team meetings, and mandatory all-staff training opportunities.
