Job summary

Carpenter Hotel seeks an enthusiastic Part-Time Front Desk Agent to join the team in Austin, TX. The agent will handle guest check-ins/outs, reservations, and concierge services, delivering a high level of hospitality and genuine welcome.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months in hospitality, strong communication, and basic knowledge of a Property Management System. This hourly, part-time role supports the Front Office team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; College degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 months in hospitality or service industry.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to use a Property Management System.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standard operations, policies and procedures.
• Complete shift checklist items.
• Check in/out guests in a professional manner.
• Take reservations accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in special projects.
• Address guest comments promptly and inform supervisor.
• Maintain positive relationships with guests and staff.
• Answer calls courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate guest call logs and resolve items.
• Open, secure, and balance shift banks; verify transactions.
• Maintain accounting and room-charge accuracy.
• Know availability, rates and events.
• Issue guest safety deposit boxes.
• Know local restaurants, events, attractions.
• Communicate with departments and upper management.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; ensure equipment safety.
• Stay aware of safety and OSHA requirements.
• Attend meetings; perform other duties as needed.
