Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Concierge at our Charlottesville community to warmly welcome guests, manage sign-in, and coordinate information with residents and staff. You will answer calls, transfer messages, and assist with tours and community services details.

The role requires basic computer skills, strong English communication, and a professional, respectful demeanor aligned with our care-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Prior experience in working with public.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Must be comfortable with a multi-line telephone system, answering, taking messages and transferring calls.
• Must maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in.
• Assist visitors in finding resident rooms.
• Answer telephone, take messages, respond to requests, forward information to staff.
• Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff.
• Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
• Sort mail and distribute to mailboxes, residents and departments.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Be knowledgeable about community services and rates, providing tours and information.
• Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Business Office Manager or Executive Director.
