Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Front Office Agent at Residence Inn Ontario, CA. You will provide attentive, courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities include answering guest inquiries, following cash policies, staying aware of rates and promotions, and maintaining a professional front desk operation with accurate shift reporting. A friendly demeanor and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer services experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must multitask and prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
• Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of all rates, packages and special promotions as listed in the Red Book.
• Be familiar with all in-house groups.
• Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.
• Obtain information when taking room reservations and follow rate quoting.
• Be familiar with hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Use two-way radio etiquette when communicating with staff.
• Operate Front Desk computer system and related software.
• Complete shift checklist tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare and balance closing paperwork.
