Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check‑ins and check‑outs, and manage guest bookings with care. You’ll record preferences, provide local insights, and assist with inquiries while upholding brand standards and safety procedures.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. A high school diploma is required; hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Strong problem solving to turn issues into positive experiences.
• Fluency in the local language is helpful but not required.
• Comfort with reading, writing, basic math and computer use.
• Flexible to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• A high school diploma is required; college degree is a bonus.
• Experience in front desk or guest services is preferred.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and acknowledge rewards club members.
• Manage guest bookings, check-ins/outs, and handle cash/credit payments.
• Provide local knowledge and upsell services to guests.
• Record guest preferences and respond to needs and inquiries.
• Maintain safety procedures and assist during incidents as required.
• Present a professional image and act as a brand ambassador.
