Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to welcome, assist, and engage with guests across multiple channels in a fast-paced store environment. You will handle checkouts, help guests locate products, and promote Target’s services and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members

• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments: greet guests, assist with finding items, resolve issues, and thank them for shopping.
• Support guest services such as order pickup and drive-up while upholding company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and assist teammates as needed.
• Promote and explain benefits, apps, and loyalty programs to guests.
• Operate scanners and handheld devices to ensure quick checkouts and accurate transactions.
