Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible, friendly manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, cards, SNAP/EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; maintain food safety and safety programs.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs; create a welcoming environment for customers.
