Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused associate to assist customers and process sales at the Customer Service Desk. You will perform cashier transactions, handle refunds and exchanges, and help maintain a clean, efficient checkstand area.

Responsibilities include handling price discrepancies, processing money orders, and providing lottery services where applicable. You will be expected to work weekends and adapt to a fast-paced environment while upholding company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18/19 years old depending on location and tobacco sales rules.
• Ability to pass drug test and to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales while delivering friendly service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, complete tender transactions, and bag merchandise.
• Maintain checkstand area and respond to telephone inquiries with courteous service.
• Verify Electronic Article Surveillance tags are deactivated and respond to pedestal activations.
• Support store accounting functions and bank deposits where needed.
• Open/close the customer service desk and process refunds, exchanges, money orders, and gift cards.
• Adhere to corporate policies and company initiatives and maintain a cooperative attitude under stress.
