Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami seeks a Bellperson to assist guests with luggage and provide courteous, attentive service throughout their stay. You will escort guests, explain room features, and support front desk operations in a busy downtown hotel.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to listen to and clarify guest and employee concerns.
• Must maintain confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts.
• Organize and deliver luggage for tour groups.
• Escort guests to rooms and explain hotel services.
• Inspect rooms to ensure order and supplies.
• Explain features of the room and operation of electronics.
• Check/store luggage for arrivals/departures with tags.
• Deliver messages and amenities to guestrooms.
• Assist with room changes.
• Maintain local attraction and transportation information.
• Support front desk and show guestrooms and amenities as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
