Job summary

Michaels Torrington, CT store is hiring a team member to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find products, and ensure a smooth, accurate checkout. You’ll unload trucks, stock merchandise, and support store recovery to keep the floor well merchandised.

Role includes BOPIS/SFS support, planograms, returns handling, and safety compliance. Lifting and standing for long periods required; evenings, weekends and early mornings possible. 16+ years old; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers in rewards programs and enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain store recovery and handle returns/go-back process.
• Perform In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully with customers and teammates.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
