Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking students for a summer 2027 internship in SeaTac, WA. The program runs 12 weeks full-time, with relocation if needed. The role focuses on data analytics for Food, Beverage and Catering Operations, supporting budget planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Analytics/Data Science, Operations, Marketing or Customer Experience.
• Experience working in Excel and other office productivity tools such as PowerPoint.
• Basic coursework in Finance, Accounting and Mathematics.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from guest satisfaction, flight attendant comments and delay information to create actionable insights into the performance of the Food, Beverage and Catering Operations teams.
• Perform analysis on retail program sales and take-rate data combined with waste and guest feedback on our fresh food pre-order program; then partner with various team leads to create strategies and tactics to improve sales, reduce costs and increase guest satisfaction.
• Provide support for Inflight Guest Products dashboard and reporting by using various productivity tools such as Excel to automate and streamline current reporting and analytics processes.
• Support our business management team with reviewing budgets and preparing data for our annual budget planning process.
