Job summary

JW Marriott Houston is seeking a Front Desk Agent to be the first point of contact for guests, delivering a welcoming experience from arrival to departure. You will handle check-ins/outs, answer inquiries, process reservations, and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms meet guest expectations.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality coursework preferred.
• Previous hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PMS experience a plus.
• Strong communication and precise guest record handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Manage check-ins and check-outs with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and in person about amenities and local attractions.
• Process reservations, payments, and room assignments accurately.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to meet guest needs quickly.
• Address guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk reflecting hotel standards.
• Provide concierge recommendations for dining, entertainment, and transport.
• Adhere to hotel policies, safety, and security procedures.
• Perform physical duties as required and assist as needed.
