Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is opening the Virginia Guesthouse in Charlottesville, a 214-room hotel with conference space, joining a portfolio of properties across the United States and beyond. We seek team members who will deliver exceptional guest experiences and contribute to a welcoming, dynamic environment from day one.

Responsibilities include checking guests in/out, handling requests, and ensuring accurate billing with a strong emphasis on hospitality.

Qualifications

• At least one year in a customer service role with high guest interaction.
• Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems when they arise.
• Outgoing and engaging personality.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Check in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible.
• Ensure the guest is assigned the correct room type and rate is charged.
• Arrange for luggage delivery and issue correct keys.
• Check out guests and ascertain satisfaction; settle bill.
• Maintain a balanced bank and process late charges as needed.
• Email guests regarding any late charges after checkout when email is available.
• Handle payments and cash transactions accurately.
• Reconcile all transactions at shift close and cash out.
• Interact with guests with hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
