Job summary

Jack & Harry's, part of Vandelay, is seeking a Server Assistant to support our service team and maintain spotless dining areas while anticipating guest needs.

You will assist servers and bartenders, run food and beverages to tables, and ensure quick, friendly service in a fast-paced environment. Must be 18+, fluent in English, and hold TABC and state food/alcohol service certifications.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and reliability.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
• Assist servers, bartenders and hosts; understand menu items and ingredients.
• Run food from the kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course is complete and accurate.
• Run beverages from the bar to guest tables and ensure beverages are always full.
• Remove used dishes and silverware from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table.
• Communicate with server, bartenders and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness of all tables and chairs in assigned service area and resets vacated tables.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
