Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Detroit is seeking a friendly server to Delight our Guests by providing attentive service, taking orders, explaining menu items, and delivering food and beverages with care and accuracy.

You will work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, uphold Applebee's service standards, handle payments, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room while contributing to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations.

• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment.
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested.
• Take guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule.
• Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system.
• Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable.
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS.
• Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience.
