Job summary

Royal Oaks Country Club Houston seeks a Catering & Events Coordinator to create memorable experiences for Members and guests. You will work with the Catering & Events Director and Executive Chef to plan intimate gatherings to large celebrations with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service.

The role emphasizes relationship building, event planning, menu development, budgeting, and post‑event follow up to generate future business.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Professionalism, discretion, and integrity while maintaining confidentiality of Club and Member information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with Members, guests, vendors, and teammates.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Build strong Member relationships and promote catering and event services.
• Plan and coordinate a variety of events including luncheons, meetings, weddings, and social celebrations.
• Develop menus and pricing in collaboration with leadership and the Executive Chef.
• Coordinate menus, signage, decorations, and vendors for events.
• Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) detailing menus, timelines, and setups.
• Create room layouts and coordinate event setups for attractive, functional spaces.
• Oversee event execution and service with Club staff.
• Maintain records of past events and pursue new business opportunities.
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and billing in coordination with leadership.
• Support social activities to enhance Member experiences.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
