Job summary

Houston Country Club is seeking a Catering & Special Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute exceptional member and guest events. The role requires collaboration with members, guests, vendors, and internal departments to uphold the Club’s high standards.

The Manager reports to the Director of Catering and supports revenue goals, staffing and vendor management, while maintaining the Club’s commitment to excellence in hospitality and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in catering, events, hospitality, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience in private clubs, hospitality, or luxury service environments preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; polished and professional demeanor.
• Sales-oriented mindset with ability to build relationships and opportunities.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Social Tables, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage business, social, and member events from inquiry to completion.
• Serve as primary contact for catering and event inquiries; ensure timely communication.
• Prepare banquet event orders and pipeline weekly.
• Act as liaison between Catering Office and Club departments for seamless execution.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers; ensure vendor policy compliance.
• Assist in developing promotional materials and support catering revenue goals.
