Job summary

SusieCakes Bakery in Torrance, CA is seeking team members to greet guests, deliver premium service, and support daily bakery operations across locations. You will take and hand out orders, answer questions about offerings and pricing, and ensure food safety standards.

Flexible hours, weekend availability, and opportunities to advance. Previous customer service in fast-paced environments is a plus; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to support occasional deliveries.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a customer service environment preferred.
• Previous quick service food handling experience in hospitality or food and beverage industry a plus
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to safely utilize all bakery equipment
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations
• Ability to work in cross functional roles as needed (front-of house & back-of-house)
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs
• Ability to transport product and make deliveries when needed
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive guest and team relations by living company values
• Deliver premium guest service according to steps of service and standard operating procedures
• Take and hand out guest orders with attention to detail and accuracy
• Delivering product on an ongoing basis and according to business needs.
• Answer questions about daily/custom offerings and pricing with confidence
• Identify and recover guests who are dissatisfied with service and/or product
• Perform shifts as scheduled to open and close the bakery
• Perform dishwasher duties as needed
• Assist culinary team as needed
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled and stored according to all required food safety code standards
