Job summary

The Portofino Hotel & Marina, a Noble House Hotel, is seeking an Activities Center Associate to support daily operations of our on-site amenities. You will cashier, manage watersports rentals, fuel boats, and provide attentive guest service while ensuring safety and privacy.

This role offers hands-on interaction with hotel guests, coordination of indoor/outdoor activities, and collaboration with departments to deliver memorable experiences at our private Redondo Beach peninsula.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (verbal and non-verbal).
• Legible communication is required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to: think clearly, stay calm, and solve problems with good judgement.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all items sold in retail shop.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
• Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to answer inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
• Set up and close the Activities Station.
• Assist with maps and directions.
• Stock, display, and loan/rent recreational equipment.
• Reserve sporting activities when requested.
• Coordinate tournaments and games.
• Distribute activities sheets.
• Conduct guest orientation.
• Check out with supervisor.
• Pump fuel into boats.
