Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all items in retail shop.
• Know departmental policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
• Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to answer inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
• Set up and close Activities Station.
• Assist with maps and directions.
• Stock, display and loan/rent recreational equipment.
• Reserve sporting activities when requested.
• Coordinate tournaments and games.
• Distribute Activities Sheets.
• Conduct guest orientation.
• Check out with supervisor.
• Pump fuel into boats.

The Portofino Hotel offers a delightful array of amenities and activities in our prime South Bay location just a stone's throw from the communities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach. With 168 rooms, multiple F&B outlets, banquets, guest activities and a 188-slip marina, your days are filled with diverse operations.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The individual will assist with the daily operation of the Activities center including cashiering, watersports rentals, boat fueling and guest service.

Responsible for arranging, executing and supervising all indoor and outdoor guests activity games/functions, providing privacy and safety. Administrate activities desk.

REPORTS TO: Activities Manager

SUPERVISES: No one

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Maintain complete knowledge of all items sold in retail shop.
2. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
4. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
5. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
6. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
7. Set Up/Close Activities Station.
