OpenAI is expanding its Compensation team by hiring a Compensation Business Partner. This hands-on individual-contributor role focuses on building the compensation pillar for a rapidly growing GTM organization.

You will partner with GTM leaders, HRBPs, Recruiting, and Finance to design scalable programs, benchmark roles, and shape job architecture. You will balance market context with internal consistency and drive programs from strategy through execution, collaborating with other compensation

Qualifications

• 6+ years of compensation experience with GTM/commercial focus
• Strong expertise in sales compensation and benchmarking
• Experience building comp programs in fast-growing organizations
• Builder mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and creating structure
• Strong analytical judgment and translating data into actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners

Responsabilités

• Build and evolve compensation programs for OpenAI's growing GTM org
• Advise GTM leaders, HRBPs, Recruiting, and Finance on compensation
• Lead offers analysis and approval balancing market context and internal consistency
• Own benchmarking and market analysis for GTM roles and translate insights into scalable practices
• Partner on design and optimization of sales compensation programs and job architecture
• Develop approaches that adapt to changing business priorities and growth
• Move between strategic design and hands-on execution, building processes where needed
• Collaborate with the broader Compensation team to share insights
