Job summary

Optum is seeking a Chief of Staff / Program Manager to act as a trusted advisor and force-multiplier to the VP of Payer Go To Market. You will drive operating rigor, standardization, and execution across multiple function areas, turning strategy into disciplined delivery.

The role supports a nationwide remote work model with in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days per week for those locations, requiring strong communication, governance, and rapid decision-making

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in strategy, program/project management, business operations, or a chief-of-staff-type role.
• 5+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• 5+ years of experience building operating cadences, governance and standardized frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication at an executive level.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Ability to influence and lead across senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce the GTM operating rhythm including leadership team agendas, QBRs, monthly reviews, and executive updates.
• Build and govern standardized approaches for RFPs, solutioning, pricing inputs, and GTM playbooks.
• Establish and maintain a governed library of sales, marketing, and product materials to prevent version sprawl.
• Lead product launches with product and marketing ensuring readiness to sell on day one.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives and special projects for the VP, scoping, driving, and reporting to completion.
• Develop and track KPIs and prepare executive briefing materials.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and inform solution design.
• Coordinate across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align stakeholders.
• Provide insight and recommendations to the VP and represent the leader when needed.
