Job summary

Customer.io is seeking a GTM AI Engineer to scale AI agents from prototypes to production-grade systems used by our GTM teams. You’ll own the alpha-to-production process, refine prompts and tooling, and harden deployment on our GCP stack.

You’ll work on observability, tooling, and database integration, ensuring reliability for 120+ GTM users and high-scale tool calls. Bring an AI-native mindset and a strong bias for robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering or similar tech role.
• Experience with cloud hosting; Google Cloud preferred.
• Familiar with LLM-based app development: prompts, tool calls, evals, modern agent frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Alpha-to-production ownership: take agents from v1 to prod-ready; write evals, harden prompts, refactor scaffolding.
