Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States is seeking a Powerplant Engineer to provide engineering support to Operations, Materials, Finance and Customer Service teams onsite nationwide.

You will author engine repair work scopes, lead technical interfaces with End-User/Customer, and collaborate with Customer Service Managers to resolve issues during shop visits.

The role emphasizes EH&S and continuous improvement, with focus on the GTF product line and onsite collaboration across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8 years of relevant aerospace experience.
• Advanced degree with 5 years of aerospace experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical data and engine manuals.

Responsibilities

• Load and manage aircraft engine repair work scopes in SAP.
• Provide timely technical responses to customer and engineering inquiries.
• Collaborate with Process/Production Engineers on engine repairs and service bulletins.
• Advise across quality, operations, materials and customer support on technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve quality using new materials or processes.
• Assist in implementing new materials, processes, tools or training.
• Commit to EH&S and continuous improvement programs and participate in investigations.
• Serve as a technical knowledge source on the GTF engine repair and testing.
• Manage shop visits and ensure Gate requirements per EMP/CEMP.
