Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead GSRP Teacher in Michigan to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds under the Great Start Readiness Program.

You will implement the approved curriculum, observe children, collaborate with staff, develop IDPs, and conduct parent conferences, ensuring compliance with GSRP standards.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's in ECE (or ZA/ZS certificate), classroom leadership experience, and the ability to work indoors or outdoors with young children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or ZA/ZS certificate is required.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center rules.

Job description

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children.The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.

As a Lead GSRP Teacher, you’ll:

• Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum
• Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools
• Collaborate with the associate teacher and classroom team to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management
• Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent-teacher conferences
• Ensure compliance with GSRP standards, licensing rules, and program quality expectations
• Participate in required professional development and coaching
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners
