Job summary

Learning Care Group in Michigan's Great Start Readiness Program seeks a Lead GSRP Teacher to plan and implement daily lessons, observe and assess children, and collaborate with a classroom team.

You will develop IDPs, lead conferences, ensure compliance with GSRP standards, participate in professional development, and communicate with families and community partners. Bachelor’s degree and classroom leadership required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or valid teaching certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum.
• Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools.
• Collaborate with the associate teacher and classroom team to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management.
• Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure compliance with GSRP standards, licensing rules, and program quality expectations.
• Participate in required professional development and coaching.
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children.The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.

As a Lead GSRP Teacher, you’ll:
