Job summary

Learning Care Group in Michigan is seeking a Lead GSRP Teacher to plan, observe, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds under the GSRP framework. You will work with a classroom team to ensure high-quality instruction and compliant practice, while engaging families through conferences and IDPs.

The position emphasizes ongoing professional development, collaboration, and a warm, supportive environment where children’s development is the priority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or teaching certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement as required.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education/licensing requirements for childcare centers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum.
• Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools.
• Collaborate with the associate teacher and classroom team for high-quality instruction and management.
• Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure compliance with GSRP standards and licensing rules.
• Participate in required professional development and coaching.
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children.The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.

As a Lead GSRP Teacher, you’ll:
