Job summary

Huntey's Clubhouse is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Teacher to support a nurturing classroom environment in Michigan. You will assist in implementing the curriculum, maintaining safety, and guiding children through structured activities and play.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Lead Teacher, ongoing communication with families, and adherence to state licensing requirements. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, with growth opportunities in a supportive, family-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and CDA in Preschool or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe).
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day and lift up to 30–40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to maintain classroom routines, organization, and effective communication with parents/guardians.


• Monitor and report children’s progress and any areas of concern to the Lead Teacher.

• Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment.


• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and team members.


• Uphold company standards and comply with state licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• · High School Diploma or GED required.


• · Child Development Associate (CDA) in Preschool or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.


• · Previous experience working with children in a childcare, school, or youth program setting is preferred but not required.


• · Must meet all state licensing requirements for GSRP associate teachers.


• · CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within a designated timeframe after hire).


• · Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities. Must be able to lift up to 30–40 pounds.


• · Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff.


• · Patient, nurturing, dependable, and flexible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
