Job summary

Early Learning Company in Michigan seeks a qualified childcare assistant to help implement the classroom curriculum, ensure a safe, nurturing environment, and support children's growth through guided activities and play.

You'll work with the Lead Teacher, maintain routines, communicate with families, track progress, and participate in professional development to enhance classroom effectiveness. The role emphasizes caring, reliability, and a positive attitude within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA in Preschool or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Previous experience in childcare or youth programs preferred.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for GSRP associate teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
• Ability to engage with children on the floor, participate in activities, and lift 30–40 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with families and staff.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) in Preschool or an Associate\'s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
• Previous experience working with children in a childcare, school, or youth program setting is preferred but not required.
• Must meet all state licensing requirements for GSRP associate teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within a designated timeframe after hire).
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities. Must be able to lift up to 30–40 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff.
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and flexible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
