Job summary

Learning Care is hiring a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom preparing children for kindergarten and beyond.

You will assist in lesson planning, observe child development, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment while building positive relationships with families and participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Ability to meet state licensing and GSRP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum.
• Assist in observing and assessing children’s development using approved tools.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. We’re looking for a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.

As an Associate Teacher, you’ll:

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
• Assist in observing and assessing children’s development using approved tools
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Participate in family engagement activities, staff meetings, and required professional development
