Job summary

Smith is seeking a GSOC Lead Operator for our 24x7 Global Security Operations Center in Houston to lead shift activities and ensure rapid, high-quality incident response. You’ll oversee CCTV, access control, and escalation workflows, coordinating with IT and security partners to maintain global security posture.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in GSOC or security operations, proven leadership abilities, and strong documentation skills for executive updates.

Qualifications

• What You Bring: 4–7 years of GSOC/security operations experience.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role (formal or informal).
• Strong incident management and escalation knowledge.
• Ability to lead under high pressure and coordinate 24/7 operations.
• Excellent communication and detailed reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift lead for GSOC operations and oversee operators.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarms across locations.
• Prioritize and direct incident triage and escalation.
• Act as primary decision-maker during critical incidents.
• Coordinate cyber incident intake with IT/security partners.
• Ensure incident reporting, SITREPs, and executive notifications.
• Support travel risk management and badging/access control ops.
• Provide training and guidance to GSOC staff.
• Ensure SOP adherence and drive process improvements.
• Assist with crisis activation and cross-functional coordination.
