Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator in South San Francisco. The role focuses on monitoring security systems, analyzing events, and coordinating responses that affect Open Text operations, facilities, and employees.

You will provide timely reports to Security Management and guide clients during emergencies. As a full-time position, you will manage alarm monitoring, access to facilities, and CCTV footage requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 　
• Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking; ability to prepare reports.
• Proficient with advanced computer systems and networks.
• Able to communicate effectively with IT and Security staff.
• Experience operating radio/console equipment.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including nights.
• Comfortable in dynamic environments and learning continuously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarm systems and CCTV globally to ensure security of employees and facilities.
• Manage day-to-day access to facilities in accordance with policy.
• Process video footage requests and ensure proper documentation.
• Notify and assist personnel during emergencies.
• Coordinate with clients and departments during incidents.
• Direct visitors and monitor property.
• Report building utility/service issues as observed.
• Support the Anti-tailgating program and security procedures.
• Suggest improvements to security protocols and processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service and calm problem solving in incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols; shifts vary by site.
