Job summary

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst at Corning Incorporated monitors security for employees, facilities, and property worldwide. Under supervision, you detect, analyze, and respond to threats to ensure safety and continuity.

You will communicate with staff, coordinate alarm responses, and prepare risk analyses and reports to support leadership decisions, while adapting to a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Political Science, International Relations, or related) or Associate’s with 2+ years in a related field.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
• Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and outside hours when needed.
• Team player with professional interpersonal style.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to adapt to various customers.
• Aptitude for clear and effective writing under time-sensitive conditions.
• Clear, courteous communication with colleagues and staff.

• Sound operational judgment and curiosity to learn security needs.
• Comfortable in a high-tech environment with ongoing learning of tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Primary first-contact for security questions from Corning employees worldwide.
• Global monitoring of assets and dispatch of security services.
• Gathering security and threat information from multiple sources.
• Conducting risk analyses and providing proactive guidance to travelers and facilities.
• Writing custom reports to enable leadership decision making.
• Providing risk analysis for high-risk travel assessments and recommendations.
• Supporting leadership and protective services including alarm monitoring.
• Compiling situational and after-action reports for security and management.
• Providing support for security operations, crisis response, investigations, and business continuity functions.
