Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic in El Centro, CA to diagnose and repair GSE, train junior staff, and maintain maintenance records for aircraft support operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues, inspecting and testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• GSE or equivalent equipment experience (4+ years).
• FRC rework procedures, publications and schematics familiarity.
• Diesel and electrical mechanic experience.
• Depot GOP experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass drug screen.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair GSE per specs.
• Maintain equipment records and dispatch GSE.
• Operate GSE to test serviceability.
• Follow environmental and safety standards.
