Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to support the MCAS Cherry Point, NC site. The role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains GSE, logs maintenance actions, and uses schematics and test equipment to ensure flight readiness.

The candidate will train others, maintain records, and assist with dispatch to support aircraft maintenance while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of experience in inspection, maintenance, and modification of powered ground support equipment.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain CAC and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Inspect and approve maintenance actions; ensure readiness for flight ops.
• Maintain equipment records and prepare GSE for storage or deployment.
• Operate GSE to determine serviceability and assist in dispatch for aircraft support.
