Job summary

The Sanford Airport Authority is seeking a skilled GSE Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a wide range of ground support equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, execute repairs, and maintain accurate records to support safe, reliable operations.

The role requires the ability to operate all types of GSE, adhere to FAA and airport safety standards, and participate in training to stay current with new technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification in automotive or aviation mechanics preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Experience with electrical and alternative fuel GSE.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on GSE such as baggage tugs, belt loaders, and pushback tractors.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain records of maintenance, parts usage, and equipment status.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and drive all types of GSE.
• Ensure FAA and airport safety compliance.
