Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities, supervise teams, and develop operational action plans. You’ll manage schedules, training, and performance to drive store results and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Model company values to foster teamwork and a sense of belonging.
• Monitor the competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate information including weekly updates and milestones.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control to minimize losses.
• Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify and rectify hazards and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper signage at all times.
• Assist with stock levels through appropriate product ordering and merchandising.
• Ensure quality and freshness of products and correct signage.
• Support payroll and budget goals, inventory counts, and training of new employees.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure reports are completed and customer service is of the highest standard.
