Job summary

Jersey Mike's is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations and building a positive, high-performing team. You will focus on coaching, onboarding, and maintaining standards for quality, cleanliness, and service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or customer service environment preferred.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations with the General Manager to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members through positive leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Lead shifts while maintaining Jersey Mike's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
• Monitor labor, productivity, and food quality throughout each shift.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving deliveries, and controlling food costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating standards.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and create positive resolutions.
• Support scheduling, daily operations, and restaurant performance goals.
• Open and close the restaurant as needed.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, team-first culture.
