Job summary

Jersey Mike's Monroe is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager, lead daily restaurant operations, and build a high-performing team dedicated to guest satisfaction. You will coach staff, assist with hiring and onboarding, manage scheduling, monitor food quality and costs, and ensure food safety standards while supporting growth into higher leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management, shift leadership, or supervisory experience.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day restaurant operations and maintain high guest experience.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members through positive leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Lead shifts while upholding food quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards.
• Monitor labor, productivity, and food quality throughout each shift.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving deliveries, and controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Support scheduling, daily operations, and performance goals.
• Open and close the restaurant as needed.
