Qualifications

• Current RN license and active BLS certification.
• PACU care knowledge and vitals monitoring.
• Ability to escalate findings to surgeon/anesthesia promptly.
• Accurate EMR documentation of all actions.
• Infection control and patient safety adherence in PACU.

Responsibilities

• Administer PACU care, monitor vitals and manage recovery.
• Escalate clinically significant findings promptly.
• Assess and communicate patient status to OR team.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Track KPIs and patient flow metrics.
• Document all actions in EMR.
• Administer medications and analgesia with vigilance.
• Engage in continuous learning for merit-based advancement.
• Collaborate to optimize turnover times and throughput.
• Prepare PACU for next patient and restock equipment.
• Provide patient/family education on post-anesthesia care.
