Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a dedicated PACU RN for on-site work in Casper, WY. You will monitor patient vitals, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and promptly escalate findings to the surgeon and anesthesia team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and active BLS certification.
• PACU care knowledge and vitals monitoring.
• Ability to escalate findings to surgeon/anesthesia promptly.
• Accurate EMR documentation of all actions.
• Infection control and patient safety adherence in PACU.

• Escalate clinically significant findings promptly to the surgeon and anesthesiology team.
• Assess, document, and communicate patient status to OR and surgical team.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control and safety standards.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and patient flow metrics.
• Document all clinical actions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Administer medications and analgesia per orders while monitoring for adverse effects.
• Engage in continuous learning to meet growth and merit-based advancement goals.
• Collaborate with team to optimize turnover times and improve throughput.
• Prepare PACU for next patient; restock supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Provide patient and family education on post-anesthesia care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain on-site presence and accountability for personal performance in a results-driven environment.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PACU recovery knowledge with post-anesthesia care protocols and vitals monitoring.
• Ability to escape findings to surgeon and anesthesia team promptly.
• Accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) for all actions.
• Medication administration and analgesia management with adverse event vigilance.
• Infection control adherence and patient safety standards in PACU.
• Strong collaboration to optimize turnover times and throughput.
