Job summary

Qualifications

• Wyoming RN license or eligibility.
• 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• PALS or ENPC and ACLS or completion within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support mission and patient service goals of Summit Medical Center.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect PHI.
• Promote safety culture and prevent medical errors.
• Maintain current practice knowledge through reading and seminars.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.
• Use nursing process for assessment, interventions and evaluation of care.
• Educate patients and families based on diagnosis and plan.
• Use professional judgment to plan and execute patient care.
• Direct and supervise support personnel in patient care.
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids and blood products.
• Conserve hospital resources while ensuring quality care.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve operational issues.
• Implement measures to prevent infectious exposure and disease.
• Uphold compliance policies and complete requested training.
• Set professional example and participate in mandatory trainings.
• Orient and train new staff and students as needed.
• May serve as Charge Nurse and oversee unit operations.
• May cross-train in other nursing areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
